Assistant Professor of Behavioral Data Science

I am an Assistant Professor of Behavioral Data Science in the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Arizona State University.

As the Director of the Cognitive Data Science Lab, my research focuses on understanding higher-order cognition, such as reasoning and belief revision, with an emphasis on the application of novel data and statistical methods. I received my PhD in Psychology with an emphasis in Computational Cognition from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2016. Before joining the faculty at ASU, I spent three years as a postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University and 1.5 years as a researcher at Facebook.

As a 4+1 grad student in the MS Psychology program, I’m interested in studying beliefs, biases, and decision making. More specifically, I’m interested in how beliefs and biases are formed as well as how they relate to and affect judgements.
